Our "Plant of the Month" gatherings are regularly scheduled workshops focused on a plant that's either in season in our region or just about to be. There's no teacher or certified herbalist on hand. Instead, we simply come together, share what we know, bring our questions, and leave with more knowledge and ideas than we had to begin with.

Our February plant is mullein. It's found in abundance throughout our area and it's easy to identify. It's uses are medicinal rather than culinary.

We'll have fresh and dried mullein on hand. We'll tour the backyard and idenitify it growing "in the wild." We'll try some tea. We'll show you how to use it in your humidifier. We'll try a puff. (Yes, It's %100 legal.) Bring your favorite recipes and tips to share. Afterward, I'll compile the tips and recipes into a collection and publish it here as a resource for others.

Sneak Peek: Our March plant of the month will be the beloved dandelion.

See you there!
